Recently on 14th of FEB Micromax A116 canvas HD was available for Rs.13,990. and now user’s who have ordered it have received the handset by snapdeal.com Here is the complete Review of this Beautifully Designed Qaud core smartphones. The micromax a116 is designed similar to its older version MMX A110. The A116 variant have HD Display and able to play 1080p HD videos without any lags. Micromax canvas HD comes with 5 inch IPS HD display with some layer of scratch resistant display same as Micromax a110. it runs on 1.2 GHz Quad Core Processor with 1 JB of RAM sailing on latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS.
Micromax A116 canvas HD Review
The Micromax A116 box pack contains the handset, Standard Ear phones (same as Micromax A110) 200 mAh battery, USB to micro USB cable, Travel Charger, user guide and warranty statement. The handset was shipped by snapdeal. SAR value of the phone mentioned on the box pack is.472 W/kg with mrp of 17,499 but the phone is available just for Rs.13,990.
Display and Design
Micromax A116 looks almost similar to the canvas 2 model. There is no changes in design just the back panel Glossy instead of textured. the phone has same features on design side, you will find three touch buttons, 2 MP front camera and call in speaker in front side and there is a 8 MP AF Camera with LED flash on back side with a Micromax logo. volume rockers are present in to left side and Power (lock) button is on top right.
Its 5 inch HD display renders images more clear and brighter. the display supports resolution of 1280×720 pixels (293.72ppi). you can play hd videos of 720p and 1080p without any lags. on A116 the touch response is more smoother than the A110. You will feel premium touch on this low cost device.
Hardware and performance
The phone comes with impressive hardware at its price segment. There is a MediaTek’s MT6589 quad core coupled with PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU. hardware specification are powerful and there is no lags on navigating between different apps. the A116 houses 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB Internal Memory. Some of yhe internal memory is allocated for apps and system. Overall you will get 1.8 GB of free Internal SD space.
Android OS
the handset sails on latest Android 4.12 Jelly Bean and as per the hardware specifications it will be update able to any future android OS from Google. The jelly Bean firmware is customized with some stock apps added by Micromax.
Other Features
Video call button from dialer. But it do supports video call, (you will have perform a video call from Contacts.) In call and loud speaker perform smooth and have clear enhanced voice during calls. 3G is supported till 21 MBPS however the Speed depends upon network fluctuation.
The canvas HD Camera
Canvas HD 8 megapixel Auto Focus Camera with Dual LED flash. camera clarity was excellent as compared with other 8 MP camera phones. The camera can record HD videos upto 720p. The new Jelly bean camera interface has vast of camera features. you can touch to focus on the subject as this is a auto focus camera. Video chats and calls can be performed with 2 MP Front camera (better than the A110)
HD Games and Videos
As the name sounds, Canvas HD can play all HD videos upto 1080p and with Quad core processor with GPU and 1 GB of RAM, all high sized HD games can be played well without any issues, You will be able to play Asphalt 7 ans some huge HD games with needs a lot of RAM and GPU.
Better Connectivity
connectivity features are almost same as the earlier model MMX A110, it supports 3G, Wi-Fi with hotspot, Bluetooth with tethering, micro USB port with USB tethering and 3.5mm audio jack. (3.5 mm audio jack can also be used as TC out) also Micromax have provided a Enhance Sound output via earphone in user settings menu.
200 mAh Battery
200 mAH standard battery is similar to what we found on Micromax a110. The battery lif wil last for 24 hours with full usage, However quad core and HD display will drain a lot of battery juice.
The phone is excellent, just almost similar to Micromax but it wil updates with Quad core, HD Display, Jelly Bean and 1 GB of RAM, There is also light sensor present for automatic brightness which was missing in earlier version. at this price segment the handset is worth buy. You wont get any other Smartphone with this specifications at the same price.
Low Price
Its better to buy Micromax A116 Canvas HD at price of Rs.14 k as per the huge demands it seems the stock won’t last and then retailer will be selling the phone at high price by keeping extra profit. The other competitors like Karbonn have also announced Quad core phone to complete A116 named as under price tag of Rs.11000, lets see how karbonn gets response in Indian smartphone market.
i took this phone 16 days before and its working like turtule its screen is not responsive.its ram is very less as company says.it gets very soon damaged.materials used in phone are of low quality it gets heated up.its just to trap customers.i would recommend you to go for aqua series of intex it has best materials and is user freindly. 2 phones i like most are intex aqua flash and intex aqua 5.0 and reliance phone of lg are also better.
